In his own way, Tintaud is a kind of iconoclast. This may sound strange for a photographer, but he works within a clearly defined psychology of perception. By first irregularly cutting and tearing up the bits of objects (later on reassembled in a new way) he stimulates our capacity of decoding details and fragments of a photography. The vision explodes completely and each cut-out fragment must be examined in order to discover its hypothetical cohesiveness with the other torn-up parts. Thus, the concept of coherence is reduced to a total ineffective notion. The eye is literally being tested.
